Digital Secure Home and Digital Secure Home Plus protect devices connected to an eligible Fios router. You can protect connected devices, including non-display devices. Digital Secure Home and Digital Secure Home Plus also safeguard your router-connected devices from online threats and vulnerabilities.

• Digital Secure Home Plus ($5.99/mo) for always-on 24/7 threat protection in addition to the basic tier features.

If you were enrolled in Home Network Protection with an eligible router, you’ll be automatically enrolled in the basic tier of Digital Secure Home. This is at no additional cost to you with your Fios Home Internet service. If you don’t have Home Network Protection but have an eligible router, you’ll still be eligible for Digital Secure Home with your Fios Home Internet subscription.

Digital Secure Home protects devices connected to the router for your Fios service. This includes smart devices.

Keep in mind: Digital Secure Home and Digital Secure Home Plus are not antivirus software solutions. When laptops and mobile devices leave the home network, we still recommend using antivirus software to stay protected on the go.

You can enable Digital Secure Home for $0/month or Digital Secure Home Plus for $5.99/month, depending on which router you use:

A vulnerability is a weakness or flaw on a connected device, in a computer system or network that can be exploited to gain unauthorized access or cause harm.

The Digital Secure Home Vulnerability Assessment scans your router-connected devices for common security issues. This can identify outdated software, weak passwords or open ports. It helps identify where your router-connected devices may be exposed to potential threats.

Good to know: Vulnerability Assessment only detects vulnerabilities—it doesn’t block attacks. Get active protection against those threats with  Digital Secure Home Plus.

Malicious Website Protection blocks harmful websites when you browse the internet. This helps reduce your router-connected devices from being exposed to online threats.

Malicious Website Protection:

• Guards your internet activities while browsing to keep you safe.
• Blocks harmful websites.
• Helps you avoid accidentally exposing your computer or personal information to online threats.

Sensitive Data Protection:

• Prevents unencrypted transmission of personal information (e.g., credentials, credit cards, SSN, addresses). Shields you from accidentally exposing your computer or personal information to online threats.
• Prevents users from submitting sensitive data through non-encrypted means.

Abnormal Device Behavior Detection:

• Learns how connected devices in the home network usually behave and automatically monitors for unusual or unexpected activity.
• Blocks connections detected through unusual amounts of traffic coming from your router-connected devices.
• Blocks connections to unknown servers in a new country and warns you. This helps to spot potential threats or attacks before they even happen.

Brute Force Protection:

• Prevents hackers from repeatedly trying different passwords until they find the correct one.
• Limits the number of attempts or blocks traffic from the hacker’s device.

Botnet Attacks Prevention:

Prevents networks of remote-controlled devices (Bots that are part of a botnet) from performing simultaneous attacks upon receiving the command.

Exploit Prevention:

Denial of Service (DoS)/Distributed Denial of Service Protection (DDoS) Prevention:

Digital Secure Home blocks access to websites that are known to be malicious or unsafe, including:

• Fraudulent websites.
• Suspicious or untrusted pages.
• Malware-hosting websites.
• Phishing domains.
• Sites pushing unwanted software.

Digital Secure Home will alert you in the 91������ý Home App if vulnerabilities are found on your router-connected devices.

Vulnerabilities are flaws that could be used to gain access or cause harm. To reduce the risk, update your device’s software and change any default passwords.  Digital Secure Home Plus will block attacks designed to exploit these vulnerabilities.

This means that no significant vulnerabilities were found that could be used by unauthorized users.

You can run 1 scan per calendar month if you have Digital Secure Home ($0/month).

If you have Digital Secure Home Plus, you’ll benefit from the automatic weekly vulnerability assessments. You’ll also benefit from initiating unlimited vulnerability assessments.

This means that Digital Secure Home Plus blocked a router-connected device from reaching a suspicious or untrusted online location. This helps prevent possible malware infections or unauthorized control attempts.

Digital Secure Home Plus detected and blocked web traffic associated with known privacy risks.

A router-connected device tried to send your login details, but they weren't encrypted. Digital Secure Home Plus blocked this transmission to protect your username and password.

This means a router-connected device attempted to send sensitive financial data without encryption. Digital Secure Home Plus blocked it to prevent unauthorized access.

Port scanning is when an attacker probes your device to find open access points. Digital Secure Plus will block port scanning attempts to prevent attacks or unauthorized entry.

Here’s how to manage your Digital Secure Home subscription:

1. Open the 91������ý Home app
2. Select Dashboard.
3. Select Subscription.
4. Choose Upgrade, Downgrade or Cancel.

As soon as you activate the service, Digital Secure Home provides website blocking. Digital Secure Home Plus also automatically provides always-on protection for your router-connected devices.

Yes. You can unblock the content, but it’s important to proceed with caution.

Here are some steps to help you make an informed decision and safely allow the content if you determine it's not a real threat:

1. Open the 91������ý Home app.
2. Select the Digital Secure Home Dashboard.
3. Choose Threats blocked.
4. Find the website, domain or IP address in question.
5. Select the expand icon to view the threat detail.
6. Review the alert to see why the website, domain, or IP address was flagged. 
7. Change the toggle from Blocked to Allowed.

Yes. Both Digital Secure Home and Digital Secure Home Plus work best when you keep your router-connected devices updated. Regular updates may fix known security flaws.

Here’s how to block a website you previously allowed:

1. Open the 91������ý Home app.
2. Select the Digital Secure Home Dashboard.
3. Select the Exceptions list.
4. Find the website, domain or IP address in question and select Remove.

Here’s how to run a Vulnerability Assessment:

1. Open the 91������ý Home app.
2. Select the Digital Secure Home Dashboard.
3. Select Vulnerability Assessment.
4. Select Start scan.

You’ll receive a notification in the 91������ý Home App when your Vulnerability Scan is complete and your Vulnerability Assessment is available It may take up to 5 minutes.

Good to know: The results of your completed Vulnerability Assessment will be located at the bottom of this screen when complete. You can also access the results through the Vulnerability Assessment tile on the Digital Secure Home dashboard.

You’ll have to wait for the cached Domain Name Server (DNS) entry on the router-connected device to expire. After cache expiration, you can access the site and see the content. Cache expiry times vary for different browsers and operating systems.

Digital Secure Home can’t monitor and block data traffic through a VPN tunnel. To restore your Digital Secure Home security features, disconnect from any VPN service.

It can take up to a minute for you to see home network changes on the app.
