Robocalls

Robocalls are automated phone calls with prerecorded messages. These calls have increased in recent years because technology has made it cheap and easy for robocallers to make calls from anywhere in the world while hiding their identities by displaying fake Caller ID information.

Stop annoying and unwanted calls. 91��ý has four ways to help you block calls on your home phone. If you haven’t already, sign up for:

Verified Caller ID

A “[V]” may appear at the beginning of some incoming calls on your caller ID, voicemail logs or TV screen. This will indicate that the call is coming from a phone number where 91��ý is able to verify the calling number.

Scammers and other bad actors often use spoofing to alter the name or number on your Caller ID to get you to answer their calls. To help you identify a potentially fraudulent call, we’ve enhanced our Caller ID feature. You will see a “[V]” when the caller’s telephone provider has confirmed that the call is coming from an authentic telephone number that has not been spoofed. This “[V]” symbol will appear on the phone screen, TV screen, call log or voicemail when you’ve received a Verified call.

This does not mean that calls without a “[V]” are scam calls as 91��ý can only verify a call if the caller is using a network that has the same capabilities as 91��ý’s network. Also, 91��ý can not guarantee the intent of callers that are verified. Always be wary of unknown calls, but this is another tool to give you more control over the calls you answer.

Call Filter

This service is automatically turned on but if you like, you can turn it off at any time by following the steps below.

Log into
Go to the Manage your phone
Scroll down and click on Call Filter
Select Blocked Call Setting and click Deactivate or Activate depending on your current setting to change it

Nomorobo

If you are a 91��ý Fios Digital Voice customer you can register with , a free, third-party service that identifies known robocallers and telemarketers and stops your Fios Digital Voice home phone from ringing. Nomorobo will not work with 91��ý’s traditional voice service.

Go to and signup
Set Up Nomorobo through the link that is sent to your email*
Log into your
Click Activate in the Nomorobo section of the Phone Management Portal
Read the Nomorobo description and click Acknowledge, this will activate simultaneous ring
Return to Nomorobo's website to complete the registration process

*If you do not receive the email, check your spam folder. Do not submit the same email more than once in a five minute period.

Call Blocking

91��ý automatically blocks calls in the network from telephone numbers which are invalid or on a DNO (Do Not Originate) list. These are numbers that should not be making calls in the first place. These calls are terminated in the network and never reach your device. Blocked calls are not directed to voicemail.

There are other online call blocking services and call blocking devices that block unwanted calls. Check your local retail store, search online, or you can purchase the CPR Call Blocker V5000 91��ý Accessories Store.

For unwanted cell calls, consider using an anti-robocall tool like 91��ý Caller Name ID to get alerts on incoming spam calls and easily report and block unwanted numbers on your mobile phone.
