What causes an alarm?
Alarms are triggered when 91¹û¶³´«Ã½ detects a fault in your service or equipment. Alarms proactively create incident tickets to ensure any issues are resolved as quickly as possible.Ìý
Ìý
There are 4 types of alarms based on severity:
Ìý
Critical: automatically creates a priority 1 ticket
Major: creates a priority 2 ticket
Minor: creates a priority 3 ticket
Informational: creates a priority 4 ticket
Alarms can be caused by:
Ìý
An issue detected with your services: the severity of the alarm and incident ticket will correspond to the severity of the issue detected
Ìý
Scheduled 91¹û¶³´«Ã½ maintenance: a scheduled maintenance event will trigger an alarm and create aÌý proactive priority 4 incident ticket. This ticket will automatically correlate to the scheduled maintenance event and will close when the alarm clears at the end of the maintenance window.ÌýIf the alarm persists after the end of the scheduled window, the priority 4 incident ticket will automatically close and a new priority 1 ticket will be opened and sent to our technicians to investigate
Ìý
Scheduled customer maintenance: if you notify 91¹û¶³´«Ã½ in advance of any planned maintenance, including power down/up and reboots, an alarm and priority 4 incident ticket will be created. The ticket will automatically correlate to your planned maintenance and will clear at the end of the maintenance window you provided.ÌýIf you conduct maintenance without notifying 91¹û¶³´«Ã½ in advance, our systems will assume there is an issue with your network and proactively create a higher priority ticket for our technicians to resolve–so it’s always important to give us a heads up.
Ìý
Your own custom triggers: you can create your own rule for when and how you are alerted by setting up a custom notification rule
